After a few hours, here with the SDXCC Unit installed
I'd like to congratulate you and all the guys who
made this wonderful piece of jewellery.

So, starting from the beginning,
the SDXCC unit arrived safely and very well packaged.
Opened the box and the first impression was,
"I bought this from the Kenwood's factory for sure!!!"
It's amazing the quality and details of the unit and the simplicity of the connections.

I started with my old filter and... NOTHING... only 4K?!!!.

Yes, Yes, it was OFF.

After turning ON...

YES!! IT'S ALIVE AND KIKING.

OMG...

What the hell is this??
The 950's is stereo now???

It's AMAZING the difference.
Then I turn on the 870 and heard my self on it,
almost fall of the chair,
It now has bandwidth enough hihi!!!.

Now I'm working here to improve the equalizations with the help of some friends.
There's a lot of work to do around here!!!

So, In my opinion the 950VMSDX plus SDXCC unit,
is the best combination in the world for ESSB.

Congratulations VOODOO Labs!! You did it Again.

Hi Voodoo-LABS,
just got home and fitted the new SDXCC 6Kc TX Unit
Holly Shit!
I don't believe the Clarity this wonderful magic box makes, man its GOOD!

Well I was wondering if you had to make lots of changes to
the EQ AND triple-c settings.
I think i will have to, the top end is just unreal.
Could you give me your settings on the Triple-c for the new Bandwidth?

I am lost for words at the difference this magic box makes.
I listened to the recordings of you and Greg and was amazed,
but to hear yourself on another radio, it's magic.
Thank you Voodoo-LABS, for providing the best sounding radio on planet earth!

SDXCC Review

Well, I have been waiting for this day for some time now,
and was it worth the wait?

YES!! This box of magic is just incredible!

Having only just tested the box for the very first time, I am amazed.
The unit is just incredible.
It opens the TS-950sdx up to another dimension with the push of a switch.
The detail in the top end is just not what I was expecting,
It is far better then I could of imagined,
There is just a feeling of openness when you engage this box.
It is something most of us have never before experienced.
Be prepared to have your mouth drop open when you listen the
Clarity and Openness the unit brings.

The SDXCC 6Kc TX Unit comes with an Instruction Manual,
a step by step guide that also includes pictures that
makes installing the SDXCC TX Unit a breeze.

I would just like to thank the guys at the Voodoo-LABS for
making this amazing box for all of us that want one.
My personal opinion is that with
all the voodoo modifications and now with the SDXCC 6Kc TX Unit,
the TS950SDX is the best transceiver on the planet for ESSB!

By the way, love the purple led!

I installed and used the SDXCC 6Kc TX Unit today.
Thanks for the very easy instructions,
even I had no problem with the installation.

So I have the switch "OFF" with my headphones on.
Then I press the button...

OMG!!!!

The best comparison I can make is it sounds like going from mono to stereo.
The difference is that noticeable.

I agree with you in that it will sound better once I get the rest of the gear set up.
While it sounds better with it on, it also shows the limitations of the MC-60,
with the upper and lower tones cut off.
More so with the higher tones, as their "roll off" is more noticeable.

I didn't get any compliments with the SDXCC today,
from what I attribute to be very poor band conditions today.
The band was awful today (what's new), with only one QSO above an S9.
It's hard to appreciate good ESSB with weaker signals.
Nevertheless, I am very very pleased with the unit.

TS-950SDX SDXCC 6Kc TX Unit Review

Congratulations Voodoo-LABS, you have done it, again.
Thank you for allowing me to be one of the
few chosen beta testers for the new SDXCC unit.
I am very excited to be part of the evolutionary jump in ESSB Audio.

Let me start out by stating that your SDXCC unit is the
perfect interface for the Kenwood 950SDX, right down to the factory connectors.
It has a professional quality build for what you would
expect from a factory Kenwood product.
It simply plugs into the factory DSP and is tucked neatly behind the 950SDX,
with no space impact to my shack.
It´s simple, easy and is designed to work seamlessly with
a stock 950SDX, or a highly modified Voodoo-Labs VM-950SDX.

Your technical background shines through when I read your Operational Instructions.
This is not one of those hammy (aka crappy) radio manuals everyone complains about on E-ham.
This is a detailed, step-by-step, tutorial that is completely picture oriented!
I followed the step-by-step instructions, down to the menu settings and
like I said earlier, it´s simple, it´s easy.

I push the miniature momentary switch, that is mounted to
a factory case screw hole under the M.CH knob, to engage the SDXCC,
enabling it´s purple light to shine (very cool feature by the way).
NO CUTING OR DRILLING REQUIRED!

Now that I am on the Voodoo Superhighway,
let me tell you that the Clarity, and the Detail of what the
SDXCC 6Kc TX Unit brings to my transmit audio is second to none.
I am able to switch between TX audio bandwidth settings on
my VM-950SDX with excellent audio balance.
All of my stock factory DSP functions still work,
the SDXCC TX Unit simply adds the next dimension of
Openness, Clarity, and Richness across the complete audio spectrum,
All at the push of a button.

I have listened to many ESSB stations, but I want to tell you that
hearing the other SDXCC TX Unit beta testers has been music to my ears
and in many ways sounds very similar to FM broadcast, at a much narrower bandwidth!

The 950-VMSDX SDXCC 6Kc TX Unit REVIEW

First off,
I have to say this radio is the finest audio radio on the planet.
Voodoo Labs has done it again with their amazing work on making this radio what it is today,
but we are here to talk about the SDXCC box.

As a beta tester for the SDXCC box,
I can tell you it is amazing how the SDXCC makes this
already awesome radio the BEST on ham radio today.
The 6.7k audio is so smooth and rich, it has that 950-SDX natural compression sound,
but now at 6.7kc of bandwidth.

Voodoo-LABS sent me the SDXCC professionaly packed with all
the parts you need to install it on the 950, as well as a
very detailed manual with pictures on how easy it is to install.
First class operation from day one.

I've been playing audio for years, but once I installed the SDXCC,
it was like driving a finely tuned Bugatti Veyron.
The finest sounding 6.7k bandwidth, so easy to EQ and setup.
You'll be very impressed.

Here is a picture of the radio with the
SDXCC button and VooDoo LED (purple of course) to turn the DXCC on and off.

You can run the box turned off and use the regular filters in the radio,
of course why would you, with the incredible VooDoo sound at 6.7k,
absolutely beautiful.

I was getting out of radio because I was discouraged with
Kenwood not making any new radios on the market to try,
but Mike said why don't you buy a 950-SDX and mod it for VooDoo Audio,
then told me he was working on making it the finest 6.7k radio on the planet,
so I said ok, why not.

What a great decision that was to be involved in the Kenwood 950-VMSDX project.
